Residency & visits
Make your work in the barn
Since 2023 a residency work has played alongside the main production in the barn theatre every July and August. The residency has brought diverse performing arts into the space, and makers from both south and north.
What the residency offers
The Lantala stage
The company gets the barn theatre's Lantala stage for the duration of the working period.
Help with marketing
Help marketing the work through Sujo's own channels.
Sparring
Production and artistic support, e.g. with the space or testing with a trial audience.
Public outcome and box office
The residency ends with something public: a performance, a workshop, an audience talk, virtual art or an exhibition. Any ticket income is shared by separate agreement.
The residency is aimed primarily at artists and companies from the North Savo region. Accommodation is not included.
The 2026 call has closed
The open call for the 2026 summer residency ran until 15 March 2026, and Elements Ensemble was selected. The next call will be announced on Sujo's channels.
