The 2024 residency gave rise to Lohtu (Solace), a powerful piece of theatre about the tender and touching friendship between two lonely children. The story speaks to all ages and gently reminds us how another person’s presence and support can strengthen our own inner sense of security.
Shining on stage are Linda Ylisirkka, a circus artist from Pello with roots in Nuottavaara, and Lumi Ruotsalainen, a physical theatre actor from Porvoo whose journey in theatre began in childhood. Together they create a vivid and deeply moving world on stage, where strong presence and physical expression say more than words ever could.
In 2025, Lohtu has continued its life on a tour of Lapland, bringing its story of friendship and comfort to more and more new audiences.
