Once again, Teatteri Sujo dared to try something completely new.
The main production of summer 2025, Seitsemän ihmeellistä tarinaa (Seven Wondrous Tales), was devised by the company using a method in which each episode of the play had its own director. Artistic responsibility lay mainly with the directors, but the whole company took part in building and developing the different stories.
The result was seven very different stories: wondrous, peculiar and at times downright creepy tales of everything between heaven and earth, and perhaps a little of the upper and lower worlds, too.
Seitsemän ihmeellistä tarinaa is an episodic play that pauses to marvel at life’s wonders, great and small, and at all the things that wonder can be. The performance was created in three and a half weeks in Pörsänmäki, in Teatteri Sujo’s atmospheric barn theatre.
