How do you cope when the world tips off its axis? What happens inside a person when their safety crumbles, familiar structures collapse and tomorrow becomes unpredictable? Why does one person make it through while another doesn’t?
JÄLKI (Trace) is a moving and timely performance about hope and despair in a world where weapons do the talking and fear draws borders between people. It examines the traces a crisis leaves in the body, the mind and the landscape, and at those that can lead the way towards change.
The piece takes the audience into a reality overshadowed by war and conflict. How does a person rebuild themselves when everything familiar is gone? Where does hope come from when there is destruction all around? And can something new grow out of despair?

Reviews and feedback
“Thought-provoking. It showed beautifully what war can mean for one person. The shadows on the walls added a stunning element. You don't always need many props on stage.”
“A powerful performance that stirred many feelings and thoughts. I hope we get to see new work from this company in future.”
